Presentation Day Review

This wednesday was a big presentation day. Everyone got to present their final projects, and while it was very interesting to see them all, some felt very unfinished and rushed, which is understandable seeing how everyone had very high expectations.
There was a few working games which were good to see. The Tiny Farm being the top of them all, as it worked from start to finish, had many features including voice overs, music and hidden easter eggs. The illustrations were absolutely adorable and the game has an actual purpose - to help children with maths.
Ciaran's quiz game is also quite cool, even though it isnt the way he wanted it to be, but at least it is working and has features like timer. The questions are cleverly asked too.
The 19Sixteen was the most anticipated game as it was made in a massive group, so I thought it will be really well done, but it seems it had a lot of issues during the development.

From the less classical games, Darragh's Twine story is definitely a winner. I really like how he used the Twine program and made it work. He is also a really good writer, so he picked the thing that really suited his ability and it really shows.
The multimedia magazine made by Chloe and Rebecca was also very cool and well designed.
